I'm still paying attention... this was nice. Entryway hallway of maybe a 6 unit apartment building in upstate New York.

the first radiator of the DECADE

thanks, carl!!

says he: "It's in a bar in Fairbanks called the Big International (or just the Big I.) I'm pretty sure it's the northernmost old-fashioned radiator in Alaska which makes it a good candidate for the northernmost in North America. It's in one of the oldest buildings in town which is also the oldest bar. The borough wants to demolish it to put in a new rotary but there's a lot of public opposition to that plan so hopefully it won't happen. It's shown in the opening credits of the Into The Wild movie and there's a long and interesting story about the elephant statue you can sort of see half of in the picture. It's made of teak and somebody brought it to Fairbanks from Bangkok in the 20's. Anyways, kind of a long backstory for a radiator but there it is."

says me: you would be surprised about radiator stories. i guess that's why i am here..

Intercom

Oh man this thing is awesome for so many reasons.. except functionality. I am glad it's still there, though! The apartment is a classic example of uncontrollable radiator heat too, brutal all year long!
